Hello there fellow ReelGoodTimers; yeah I just gave you a name. Sorry it's been a while since my last review but shit (in the form of college finals) happens. However, I've been relinquished from the chains of education (for the summer at least) and bring forth a new review for your reading pleasure. You are so very welcome. Let's review Godzilla!!!
So the title kind of gives it away huh? I wasn't even planning on watching today but I woke up in the morning and somehow drove myself to the nearest AMC. I'm honestly glad I did.
I saw this trailer when I watched Winter's Tale (a movie so horrible, it can't be reviewed) and it just looked freaking adorable. Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of the Bollywood or Kollywood genre though I'm Indian (I know blasphemy) but this really caught my attention because it wasn't hiding behind any of those gimmicks that movies from India often produce, it was just a real story from the stomach to the heart (get it? get it? cuz it's a lunchbox? Oh forget it). Let's review The Lunchbox. Also I'm pretty sure I'm going to be super hungry after I finish writing this review.
Does anyone else think of the True Blood theme song whenever you see or hear the word bad? Just me? Okay then. Shall we start the review? *sings*I wanna do bad things with you*sings*
So Muppets Most Wanted was one of my must sees for 2014, simply because I enjoyed the crap out of the first one. I grew up watching the Muppets at a young impressionable age when you didn't question the biological sense behind a pig and a frog getting it on. Everything makes sense when you're a kid. Did it take me back to my childhood? We'll see. Advanced warning that there will be spoilers in this review beneath the ****SPOILERS**** line. Got it? Good. Let's begin.
Hello fellow readers. Thank you for checking this out. Well it finally came (that's what she said). Divergent has made its way from the pages of books to the silver screen. Snooty Hollywood critics rejoiced at the idea of tearing up another movie and movie goers are excited to have something new to obsess about. Where does Divergent stand? Is it the new Harry Potter, Hunger Games, or *shudder* Twilight ?
The Grand Budapest Hotel Review (A Review About A Story About A Story About Another Story)3/14/2014 Wes Anderson sure knows how to make a good movie. However I'm a marketing major and I have issues when a movie advertises itself in a different light than what's actually delivered. Movies can get away with false advertising though. Some can be pleasantly surprising and others can fall flat on its face (hello Dark Shadows). Nevertheless, you have little ol me here to prepare you for this movie (you are so very welcome). So here's a list of need to knows before you check into the The Grand Budapest Hotel Happy Sunday everyone!!! Sorry for a delayed review. It was snowing here in Colorado on Friday and as someone with a fear of driving in snow (I don't know what the "scientific" word for that is"), I had to put my life on hold. Instead I snuggled with my cats and drank hot chocolate (with whipped cream), then I did homework (boo!). Regardless, I braved the roads after the snow melted, met up with my former theater teacher turned awesome friend (shout out to you Lindsay!) and we both watched Mr.Peabody and Sherman.
Yeah!!! I'm excited to do my first official review. I've reviewed movies countless times in my head where it stayed and was hardly shared....but today all that changes as I put my thoughts into words and words into a blog. Here's an advanced warning that I will have spoilers in my review, after a line where I say ***SPOILERS***. Don't worry, you can't miss it. Onward with the review!!!
This movie is based off a book (gasp! how original!) by Emile Zola entitled "Therese Raquin". It's a movie about how being sexually deprived and marrying your cousin can lead to murder. Hmmmm....maybe it's a good thing most students at my university keep hooking up. |
